First edition, released in October 1956. 'Love me tender' entered Billboard's Hot 100 on October 10 at the #1 position
where it remained for four consecutive weeks. It also reached #3 on the Country chart and #4 on the Rhythm & Blues chart.

 

       

       

The sleeve was released in no less than four different colors. They are pictured in falling order of rarity.

Rare promotional double-single sent exclusively to DJ's in October 1956. Jean Chapel's record had previously been released
as SUN 244. Note that both of Chapel's titles were written by the same writer team that wrote 'Heartbreak hotel' for Elvis.
